Gurdeep Singh Ahluwalia, M.D., is pleased to join Northwest Hospital's Division of Neurology as a faculty neurologist.
Dr. Ahluwalia received his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine. His post-graduate work includes a one-year internal medicine internship, followed by a four-year neurology residency at the Howard University Hospital. Dr. Ahluwalia received additional fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at Hahnemann University Hospital (Drexel University). In addition, he holds an master's of science degree in genetics and human genetics, also from Howard University.
Dr. Ahluwalia is a frequent lecturer and instructor on strokes, seizures and other neurological disorders. Dr. Ahluwalia's special interests include the use of electromyography and electroencephalography techniques to treat neurophysiologic, neuromuscular and sleep disorders.
As a faculty member of the LifeBridge Health Brain & Spine Institute, Dr. Ahluwalia will provide services in clinical neurophysiology as well as consulting for general neurology at Northwest Hospital .
